The first drink you order on a date can tell you a lot about a person. If they order a complicated cocktail in a crowded bar – they don’t care about other people, if they want to hear every craft beer option going - they’re dull and pretentious, a house wine – cheap and if they want to order shots – crazy and potentially an alcoholic. So, it’s with some pressure that the seemingly simple question of ‘what would you like’ can be fraught with tension. As they nudged nearer to the barman amongst the frantic Friday night drinks crowd, she was refreshingly surprised to hear he would be having the same as her. After all what better sign could there be for potential romance and future compatibility than finding someone who appreciates a decent gin and tonic?
