How to help the Australian Bushfire crisis

The bush fire situation happening here in Australia right now is devastating. It is hard not to know someone who has been affected. It is hard to watch rolling footage of what looks like some kind of futuristic apocalypse and not feel utterly heartbroken for the people, animals and land affected. 'Look for the people helping' we have been telling our two young kids as they watch other young kids being evacuated onto naval vessels wearing masks and clutching teddies. And there are so many people helping; from the courageous firefighters, volunteers and residents at the forefront of disaster, the local communities banding together in support to people giving their time, resources and generously donating whatever they can. We are a nation who cares.

Now is not the time to talk about fashion or try and selfishly promote a business while others are suffering. It is the time to donate, help and heal however possible.

Here are some things we can all do to help:

Donate money (not items) to:

@nswrfs

@celestebarber’s fundraiser for the RFS

@redcrossau

@wireswildliferescue

Write to your federal member and voice your opinion on climate change:

As a small gesture all profits made from Ms. Kensington over January will be donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Disaster Relief fund.
