A Love Letter to Sydney

Woman walking on sand towards the sea

You can rock a pair of heels, but prefer bare feet on a soft shore

Blazing blue skies and a sapphire sea

That meet at the horizon

You know this city but keep her secrets close

Secluded coves and hidden haunts

You soak up the sun but welcome the storm when it hits

Crashing over the city like a wave upon the sand

You’re salt-kissed skin on a summer afternoon

The hum of cicadas at dusk

The air laced with Star Jasmine on a steamy December night.
